Come one, come all to a double fisted funhouse of fascinating film freakery featuring special guest MAT FRASER ("Paul" from AMERICAN HORROR STORY FREAK SHOW)!
The ride begins with Tod Browning's 1932 cinematic classic FREAKS and ends with today's television hit AMERICAN HORROR STORY FREAK SHOW. 80+ years ago, the sight of real, live disabled performers prompted audiences to ban Browning's subversively sympathetic story from theaters around the world. How does cable television's 21st Century exploration of similar (fair)grounds compare? Step right up (or roll, stroll or shuffle) and find out!
After the screening we'll be joined by the Kung Fu Flid himself, Mat Fraser, for a televised discussion about life as an international star of stage and screen, the history and politics of freakshows, and more.
